qualification needed to join this ring is that you own a website relating to or that
has something to do with the music artist Tarkan and the only condition is that
you place the navbar code on the site page you register. For more information
and help on webrings and how to join, read the information and instructions
provided below. <br>
</b>Webrings are communities of websites, united by a common interest and
organized into a circular "ring" of mutual links, together with some technology
to make it all work. Links on each page permit you to go from site to site, to
travel the entire webring, eventually returning to the page from which you
started. Links also permit you to access the list of member sites and to join
the webring. It is a good way for sites of simlar interest to support each other
and get hits to their site, and for visitors of that site to view related sites
without having to surf the Net (known as "ring surfers"). <br>
It is called a ring because clicking to the next page on the
Tarkan WebRing (for example) will take you to another page on another site about
Tarkan. If you click enough you will return to the original page you started
with. The pages link to each other to form a ring of links. <br>
Webrings have ringmaster/mistresses and members. Ringmasters
are people in charge of the webrings and members are those that join the
webrings. To be a member of a webring you need to have a site. A member is a
person who owns a page that is in the ring. Technically speaking, people aren't
"in a ring". Rather, pages in their sites are in rings. However, we speak of the
person who owns the page that is in a ring as the member and the page that is in
the ring as the member page or member site. <br>
The siteowner must do four things to have their site approved
into the Tarkan WebRing. </p>
<p align="left"><b>1) Join the WebRing system at http://www.webring.com. It is
free. <br>
2) Apply to join the Tarkan WebRing, following all instructions. This is also
free. <br>
3) Get the navbar code to add to your site page that you have registered. <br>
4) Add the code (either in ssnb format or html format) to that page. </b></p>
<p>You will need flash if you join the Tarkan WebRing <br>
and wish to access the
extra membership benefits. <br>
